Purchased a kit for 2016-2020 model x. Got the kit for model y instead. Email undeliverable for customer service. Eventually joined the Facebook group and was able to get some help. Also was able to get some response through the chat on website. Responses were not always prompt. Give them credit that they did send me another one. Even though it labeled for model x 2017-2020, but it did work for 2016 model.
There was not any printed instructions came with the product. Got some videos from the customer support. Watched them over and over to get some idea. The product received did not exactly match what was used in videos. Had to figure out how to troubleshoot myself because the response from the seller was not all that helpful. The controller module looks different now. No longer looks like a computer router. There is a separate motor assembly controlling the additional cables. The wires for strut are equally long but not long enough to allow control module to be tugged in at either side on the bottom. So I ended up placed near the top towards the driver side. The cable length adjustment is likely needed. In my case it was too long. Had to figure where to turn the nut and had to adjust for quite a bit. The manual emergency pull cable was not functional at all. Eventually was able to get it to work. But it took a lot longer and effort to figure everything out
